P&P-Part 2; Exercise 5; Standard focal length

Exercise; Standard focal length

I had to focus on a lens length that is a standard length for my DSLR, by holding the camera up and keeping both eyes open and adjusting the lens so that the image looks the same in both eyes. My DSLR standard length is 50mm.

I found this exercise relatively easy, I was able to sneak up on people and take their photo, I think it helped that I was at a wedding, however, I have included a shot that was from far away, mainly as I thought it made for an interesting photograph.

1/800 seconds at f/7.1

I like this image as the girls seem to mould in to the background, this is obviously from far away, but as it was an interesting shot I thought I would included it none the less.

1/60 seconds at f/5.0

As I said previously, this was an easy one to take, as I was at a friend’s wedding, I like the side profile and that they haven’t noticed that I took the photo.

1/60 seconds at f/4.5

The same goes for this image, this boy kept running away every time I tried to take a photo, so I’m pleased that I managed to capture this one without him noticing!.

Overall, as I said before, this exercise was easy for me, but perhaps it was because I was at a wedding and my confidence is building.
